Therapists are not invincible, but we sometimes hesitate to reach out for our own support. If you're a therapist, let me kindly remind you that YOU also deserve to be heard and to receive care! While clinical supervision focuses on your work with clients and supports your professional growth, individual therapy focuses on your personal life and mental health.
My personal therapist patiently holds space for me as I work up the courage to make changes and prioritize myself. My own therapy helps me to feel well and keep showing up as a therapist.
Why do I let people know I'm in therapy, too?

The purpose of clinical supervision is to support your therapeutic work with clients, your professional growth and self-reflection, and the well-being of your clients.

What you can expect from me as a supervisor:
My scope of supervision does NOT include couples' therapy or hours needed for your certification in EMDR or play therapy; please seek out specialists in those areas.
Collaboration and networking with other therapists have protected me from the isolation and loneliness that some people experience in private practice. I'm always energized by a little chat with another therapist! I love exchanging resources and building one another up.
Feel free to email me to say hello or propose a collaboration opportunity, like a group, workshop, retreat, or book, etc. Let's start with a little email introduction and see where we go from there.
Pivotal Moments is located on the traditional territory of the Anishnaabe, Haudenosaunee and Neutral peoples. I am committed to ongoing learning about the history of exploitation and oppression on this land, acknowledging how I unfairly benefit from this history as a descendent of white settlers, and seeking ways to live in harmony with my neighbours.
